We’ve had a tough couple of weeks around here. Nonstop viruses and upper respiratory infections, tons of (non-knitting) deadlines, the dreaded TAX SEASON, and general mayhem have all contributed to me falling behind on this blog. However, I have been working very hard on my actual knitting, and I am inching closer and closer to releasing my newest sweater pattern! I had a major setback when the sample I made to model just did not fit correctly. I almost gave up on the whole thing, but finally resigned myself to the fact that I’d need to rip it apart and rework sections of it. I finally got it all back together, and it fits MUCH better now. I’m putting together a larger sample, just to check yardage requirements, and then it should be ready for tech editing and publication! YAY! I’m also chomping at the bit to move on to a new project, so COME ON! Let’s get this sweater on the road!
Before I show any photos of the new design (perhaps as early as next week), I want to share my mom’s knitting. She loves my Eldfell sweater pattern as well as Knit Picks’ Wonderfluff yarn (I mean, who doesn’t?), so she decided to knit an Eldfell for herself! The colors she picked are beautiful shades of purple (Larkspur Heather, Royal Heather, and Bare), and it fits her very well. She offered to model it for me so I can post it here. Thanks Mom!
