I am quite lucky to have wonderful friends who, while not necessarily knitters themselves, wholeheartedly embrace the knitting obsession and even act as enablers. It gives me no end of happiness to know that I am surrounded by supportive and enthusiastic interest for what is often deemed a trivial …

The second post explains my washing and blocking techniques for the two panels of the poncho. Now, I'd like to spend a …

Portree Poncho full panel

This post is a followup to my very first post, in which I described how to fix a mistake I made on my initial test knit of the Portree Poncho. In the first post, I focused on the I-cord cast on and bind off used in this pattern. Now, in this follow-up, I'd like to spend a little time talking about …

Happy New Year from the frigid coast of Connecticut! It is officially -3° F (-19° C) at 9 am, with a windchill of -15° (-26° C). I'd say this would be a typical February day in central New Hampshire, where I lived for a time, but here on the coast on the first of the year? It's rather unusual. Ok, …

#BeakStreetTee is live! My tee design is part of @ #BeakStreetTee is live! My tee design is part of @knit_picks new colorblock design collection, #Vertex. This design is knit flat in two pieces. The colorwork is created with the intarsia technique. Using Stroll, a fingering weight sock yarn, it's soft and easy to wear. It works well in a wide variety of colorways. For more information, take a look at the collection on the Knit Picks website, or on my @hi.ravelry page (see my linktree).

I wanted to offer a sneak peek of my #BeakStreetTe I wanted to offer a sneak peek of my #BeakStreetTee design, which is coming out in a new print and e-collection next week! I've started work on a design that has very specia I've started work on a design that has very special meaning to me. I purchased all of the fibers on various trips - most on my 2019 visit to my brother in the UK, but one hank from a local mill in Florence, Italy, which I purchased 20 years ago. Some are specialty/rare breed fibers, and they will forever be entangled with my lovely experiences abroad. While we sit at home, travel still a distant dream, this vicarious journey by means of yarn is really meaningful to me. I can't wait to share the design in the coming months.

Testing call!! I'm looking for 1-3 testers per siz Testing call!! I'm looking for 1-3 testers per size for my newest design, called the Napatree Tee.

Testers can use any fingering weight yarn for this test, though I'd recommend something light and cool for summer, like a cotton, linen, bamboo, or silk! The sample here is knit with @cestarisheep Monticello Fingering, a gorgeous kettle dyed cotton/linen blend.

The deadline for this test is May 15.

This design includes 9 sizes, from a 32" (81cm) chest to a 64" (163cm) chest circumference. All instructions include imperial and metric measurements.

If you are interested in testing this design for me, please click on the linktree in my bio and find the link (first in the list) to the Ravelry group where I will run the test. If you are not a Raveler but still interested, please just send me a DM. I'll be sending out a PDF of the pattern and the Ravelry test link very shortly. Thanks so much!
